1-Bromopropane

1-Bromopropane (n-Propylbromide) is a transparent liquid supplied in drums and bulk containers. The bromine used in the manufacturing process is sourced from the Dead Sea. The product is applied as a chemical intermediate and as a solvent in (vapor) degreasing of metal parts. A key application of 1-Bromopropane is the production of valproic acid for pharmaceutical use. Appropriate safety precautions are needed when handling the product.
