Magnesium hydroxide serves as an API in antacid and laxative preparations. Magnesium hydroxide serves (similarly to magnesium oxide) as the source of magnesium in formulations aimed at supplementing dietary magnesium levels and thus contributing to cardiovascular health, normal muscle and nerve function, and the maintenance of healthy bone development.
